One Book, One New Tecumseth Paramount & Sacrosanct!

Terry Fallis wowed a full house at NTPL’s second annual One Book, One New Tecumseth Author Event at the Nottawasaga Inn last night.

After an excellent re-enactment of a scene from “No Relation” performed by Banting Memorial High School students, Terry took to the stage and completely captivated the crowd as he shared the story behind the the story.  How a lawyer named Brian Mulroney – no relation to the then Prime Minister of Canada – sparked the idea in the late 1980s. How Hemingway became the author of choice for the character’s namesake. Why the setting for the novel was New York City instead of Toronto, as originally planned. And so much more.

Terry took the audience on a whirlwind tour of the Ernest Hemingway Exorcism World Tour, and the novel itself, with anecdotes and a slide show. He even offered a sneak peek into his newest novel, which is expected to hit the shelves in September of 2015, before taking time for a lively Q&A session.

NTPL’s board and staff declared the evening a resounding success and the One book, One New Tecumseth event Paramount and Sacrosanct!

Thank you, Terry Fallis, for a delightful evening, and everyone who came out for helping to make One Book a success in New Tecumseth.
